![]() Bonnie Rosen (University of Virginia ’93) was inducted as truly a great player. At Harriton (Pa.) High School, Rosen was a four-time All-DelVal and All-Main Line team member, an All-American honorable mention (1987) and All-American (1988). As an All-American for Virginia, Rosen won the Women’s Lacrosse Team Award (1992) and was voted team captain and the MVP (1992). Rosen received honorable mention on the All-South Regional team and played in the North/South All-Star Game (1992). She is a member of the ACC’s 50th Anniversary Women’s Lacrosse Team (2002). Rosen was a 13-year club player, winning the USWLA Tournament Championship with Philadelphia (1994) and New England (1998, 1999). Internationally, Rosen was a member of the U.S. Women’s National First Team (1992), the Elite Team 1993 to 2005, Touring Out Team (1996, 2000) and the Touring In Team (1999, 2004). Rosen won gold at the 1997 and 2001 World Cup games. She was awarded the Beth Allen Award (1999) and inducted into the US Lacrosse Connecticut Chapter Lacrosse Hall of Fame (2010), the US Lacrosse Philadelphia/Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter Lacrosse Hall of Fame (2008), the Harriton High School Hall of Fame (2000) and the Philadelphia Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2002). Paddle Polo was a hit at the Surf Expo with interest and orders spanning the globe. Read full article here When we learned that Drew Testwuide, Captain of the Barbary Ghost had crafted some sticks and was organizing weekly SUP Lacrosse Games at 101 Surf Sports in San Rafeal, California we were charged up to see how his crew would like our Paddle Polo sticks.
We were blown away when Drew and his paddlers tested the sticks at McCovey Cove at AT&T Park at one of their Baseball by Boat outings! Better yet, the gang was captured on the Jumbotron as the World Series Champs, San Francisco Giants routed the San Diego Padres! The footage of them playing was even picked up on the television feed! Another comment from Drew was regarding using traditional lacrosse heads instead of the Paddle Polo water-shedding heads. This is actually an easy modification - we will be posting a tutorial on how you can swap out your favorite head on the stick! Again, a big thanks to Drew and crew for the feedback and exposure! When you are in the Bay Area of California make sure you check these guys out - looks like they are the epicenter of fun on the water in that region! Carolina Cup kicked off the official launch of Paddle Polo and although the weather was sometimes questionable the race garnered record turnouts and all the top pros and hundreds of weekend warriors!Paddle Polo participated on the oceanside expo, which made it difficult for water demos but dozens of kids of all ages had fun playing with Paddle Polo sticks on the lawn at the Blockade Runner Hotel.The race generated dozens of orders and feedback. It was apparent that instructors working with youth camps loved Paddle Polo and many were sold on the spot or ordered immediately after the race. The other audience that did back flips over Paddle Polo was kids and families that play Lacrosse. Carolina Cup kicked things off right! We look forward to returning next year!
